Marguerites inspiration for art was first sparked by her grandfather “Spang”, Frank Spangler Sr. who was the political cartoonist for the Montgomery Advertiser for 40 years, and nurtured through her life by her parents who were both artists. Her father Chuck Whitehead continued to paint until his death at age 94.
